assoc. prof. dr. Valentas Gružauskas is an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Vilnius University (VU MIF), and the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Methods Lab (AIML) (Dirbtinio intelekto metodų laboratorija).
The Artificial Intelligence Methods Lab (AIML, aiml.lt) aims to develop reliable, transparent, and reproducible AI methods and the experimental infrastructure needed to test them, ensuring method resilience and reproducibility of results. The lab works in the following areas:
Explainable AI (XAI) and model transparency methods;
Multimodal AI (e.g., combining images, text, and other data sources);
Agent-based / agentic methods (for automation, orchestration, and evaluation);
AI systems risk management and conformity assessment aligned with the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001.
