Dr. Christoph Schaefer, an experimental physicist working for over 10 years in CERN on detectors gives a lecture in four parts about particle detectors.
The first lecture is on the 14th of March 2016, at 16:00 in the lecture hall 211 of the Physics Faculty building, Saulėtekio al. 9-III. Interested people can also read a short summary.
The second lecture, also announced in connection with the CERN exhibition and the news of the faculty of physics, will be on the 18th of April 2016, at 16:00 in the lecture hall 211 of the Physics Faculty building, Saulėtekio al. 9-III. Dr. Christoph Schaefer gives also a lecture at the CERN Spring Campus, which is held from 18th of April 2016 to 21st of April 2016 at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
Dr. Christoph Schaefer will give the third lecture, also announced in news of the faculty of physics, on Wednesday, the 2nd of November, at 16:00 in the lecture hall 212 of the Physics Faculty building, Saulėtekio al. 9-III. Interested people can also read a Lithuanian or English short summary of the upcoming lecture.
The fourth lecture follows on the next day, on Thursday, the 3rd of November, at 09:00 in the lecture hall 815 of the Physics Faculty building, Saulėtekio al. 9-III.
The exam for this course will be in January with a written part and a talk about this written part with Dr. Christoph Schaefer. This way we can write an email when the exact dates for both parts of the exams are known.
